2018 ITSA and TESA Conference Registration

Dear Delegate,

The International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA) is a non-profit membership organization of leading scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the tourism and related fields.  ITSA’s mission to encourage interaction and co-operation between developed and developing countries closely links to this conference’s theme of Collaboration and Co-creation Opportunities in Tourism, and fully reflects the importance of tourism as a modern-day engine for growth and development.

The Association was founded in 2006 and has its headquarters office in Washington, D.C., USA. ITSA established its Secretariat office at Peking University in China and has more than 300 individual and institutional members throughout the world. ITSA is unique among international associations of tourism scholars and practitioners as it is the only such association with offices in the United Kingdom, United States, and China.  ITSA stages biennial and themed conferences as well as the publication of its academic journal, The International Journal of Tourism Cities. Recent conference venues have included China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Italy and United Kingdom. ITSA’s activities are supported by Regional Vice-Presidents in Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Greater China, Middle East, North America, North-East Asia, Oceania, Russia, South and Latin America, South Asia, South-East Asia, UK and Ireland, and Western Europe.

This year the 7th Biennial ITSA Conference will coincide with the 2nd International Tourism Educators South Africa (TESA) Conference. The conference is supported by the South African National Convention Bureau, Gauteng Tourism Authority and the City of Tshwane.
